Obstacles In Cultivating Your Inner Life

FOUR major obstacles to our spirituality:
1. Chronic Spiritual Infancy (or the lack of action to mature spiritually)
2. Preoccupation with Externals (or too much focus on outward appearance and reputation rather than character and spirituality)
3. Scarcity of Daily Input (or the failure to spend time with God daily)
4. Unyielded Life (or refusing to acknowledge God's lordship over our lives)
To truly follow Jesus, we must remove these obstacles in our spiritual lives and replace them with authenticity, a surrendered life, and a daily walk of faith. Ultimately, we do all of these, not to have the approval of men, but the approval of God, who looks not at our outward appearance, but the depths of our hearts.
