Trusting in the Word (Part 2)
As we carry on in our series about trusting in God’s word, Pastor Carlo Panlilio shared on the story of Joseph the Dreamer. Joseph received a dream from the Lord, and yet seemed to get into more trouble than good.
Despite this, Joseph trusted in the Word; he knew that the Lord will keep His promise in his life. In the end, the Word came to pass and proved itself true. From a slave, he became second-in-command to Pharaoh.
Sometimes, we find ourselves in the shoes of Joseph. But no matter what circumstance we get into, we could put our trust in the word of the Lord.
Pastor Carlo also presented discoveries and breakthroughs from the fields of astronomy, shipbuilding, medicine, and marine geology. With this, he continued with three more proofs that support the Bible’s truthfulness.
No other religious book ever claims to have prophetic statements other than the Bible. About 3856 verses are directly or indirectly prophetic in nature. Many of the statements have been confirmed to have happened. In Jesus’ prophecies alone, at least 300 have been confirmed to be fulfilled.
The Bible is thematically unified. Over the course of more than 1500 years, 66 books have been created by at least 40 authors. These authors have made personal and independent witness of God’s work in their lives. The truly remarkable aspect in this is the consistency of the underlying themes within each book; all of them consistently conveys God’s message of love to His people.
Finally, the Bible is the only book that has complete transformative power to those who believe and follow it.
