#TuloyPaRin: Covenant - A More Excellent Way
“Ayokong masanay ka sa iyong pag-iisa.”
Pastor Zhaleen Panlilio continued the #TuloyPaRin series by sharing a message entitled “Covenant Relationship: A More Excellent Way.” Indeed, one of the reasons we are able to move forward in spite of the problems and challenges in life is because of the people who are in covenant with us – people who are committed to love and support us, no matter what.
In her message, Pastor Zhaleen defined covenant as a “mutual agreement to be committed to one another,” a decision “to love without qualifications.”
Taking from the Parable of the Good Samaritan, Pastor Zhaleen encouraged everyone to build covenant relationships with another through three simple steps: see, feel, and respond. Let us be people who are sensitive enough to recognize other people’s needs, compassionate enough to feel their struggle, and responsive enough to do something to help them. As encouragement, Pastor Zhaleen said, “When we are determined to be of help, God will be our help.”
Let us not be a church filled with strangers. Let us be a church filled with “good Samaritans” – people who respond to other people’s needs. People who love without qualifications. People who are in covenant with each other.
Huwag kang masanay mag-isa.
“By this, everyone will know that you are my disciples: if you love one another.” John 13:35 NIV
